Johns Hopkins University


Johns Hopkins University, located in urban Baltimore, Md., is divided into nine prestigious schools, five of which serve undergraduate and graduate students. The Johns Hopkins Hospital is the top-ranked overall hospital in the nation. This private institution, founded in 1876, also has a diverse range of student activities. The Hopkins Blue Jays are part of the NCAA Division III Centennial Conference (best known for their dominant men’s lacrosse team) and there are over 1,000 students that take part in the Greek community. Former U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, former president of the NAACP Kweisi Mfume, and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg are distinguished Johns Hopkins alumni.
