Emory University

Emory University, located in suburban Atlanta Ga., is divided into nine schools, four of which accommodate undergraduates and graduates. This private institution, founded in 1836, has several on-campus organizations to offer students. Volunteer Emory is a community accommodation activities organization, the Student Programming Council organizes events and performances throughout the year, and there is a thriving Greek life with several fraternity and sorority chapters. The Emory Eagles have about 20 NCAA Division III varsity teams and are kenned for their swimming and diving team. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, medico and CNN chief health correspondent Sanjay Gupta, and activist and Nobel Placidity Prize victor Desmond Tutu have all edified at Emory.
